I when we look at all the tech in the makerspaces that they are the most beneficial technology. Because students are able to learn different skills when using them. Like the robots, students learn to code and move the robot around with the different codes. Students are able to learn how to problem solve with all the technology included in the makerspace. Even the computers that are used in the classroom are also beneficial because student are able to explore the world online. But they would make sure that everything they do online is smart and safe.

I think that my pedagogy evolved in the sense that now I want my students to understand how to be safe on the internet too. Even if I don't like using the internet in the classroom that much, I think that it's important that the students understand how important it is to protect themselves on it. So along with hands-on activities I think that some online assignment would be helpful too. I think in the beginning I thought that good teaching looked like a lot of hands-on activities and less screen time. But now at the end of the semester I think that good teaching has a mixture of hands-on learning and online learning.I think the most thought-provoking assignment would be the online lesson module. Because for that project we had to create an entire lesson that is meaningful and thoughtful for the students. We had to create multiple activities for students to practice the material and then we had to create project that show the teacher the children know what they are working on and learning about. So, the lesson had to be one that really got the lesson across to the students in an effective way. By the end of the lesson the students should be able to answer any questions that the teacher asks about the topic of the lesson module in this case character traits and setting. The kids also should be able to ask any remaining questions on the topic that they just need a little clearing up on.The topics that had impacted me the most this semester were Makerspaces, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom, digital citizenship, and Professionalism. I think they impacted me so much because I was able to learn new ways to teach in my classroom. I also learned how to have my classroom be more accessible to all my students and that professionalism is more than dressing up. It's more like how to act in your classroom environment. The Makerspaces also opened up a whole new world of learning for me. I think that they help children's imaginations grow and their creativity can run wild. These topics are the topics I think will be the most prevalent in my classroom in the future. I think that with all these topics present I'm able to have a classroom that is welcoming to all and making them a space where my students are able to be smart about their internet usage and they are able to let their creativity run free. |
